There are several classes that are not listed here. Some examples are private family classes and one on one type sessions. If you're interested in scheduling a similar class or if you have 3-7 people and would like to schedule your own Concealed Weapons License (Also known as "CCW") class please ask, we will be happy to accommodate you as our time permits.

2007 Schedule

Weapons Maintenance / "Mini Armorers" Course
2 classes, first Glock in the morning and then after lunch the M16/AR15 section.
In these classes you will be instructed by a Glock Factory Certified Armorer and a Colt Factory Certified M16/AR15 Armorer. You will bring your own weapon and learn how to completely detail strip it, inspect for critical wear and broken parts. You will learn the proper lubrication points in each particular weapon. Finally, after replacing any worn or broken parts, you will reassemble the pile of parts back into a working weapon.
For the M16/AR15 class many students bring new barrels and change them in the class. This is an excellent opportunity to change that "post ban" AR into a "no ban" or "proper" AR15. If you have a carry handle gun and want to change it into a flat top this is the time. If you have a flat top and want to get rid of that big fixed front sight tower, this is also something that can be done in this class. In previous classes we have had a few people bring one of the AR "Kits" to the class. This is a great chance to learn how to properly assemble it, just make sure you bring ALL the parts.. Also, very important, ALL NFA Rules apply. You will be taught what to look for to be able to determine if your gun has any full auto parts in it. This is very helpful, especially for the LEO students, to be able to identify what may be an illegal conversion. Also, a brief discussion will be held on the proper way for a civilian to purchase and own a LEGAL machine gun, silencer or short barreled rifle or shotgun.
A variety of barrels, flat top uppers, folding front / rear sights and other parts are available from Rimfire Ranch or you can bring your own. You will need to make advance arrangements to have these parts available.
Night sights for the Glocks are available as well and you can install your own in the class or our Glock Armorer will be glad to do it for you if you prefer. Night sights are also available for the AR, either front only or front and rear as a set.
Please note: At the completion of either of these classes you will get a certificate of attendance from Rimfire Ranch. This class will NOT factory certify you for anything. The factory classes cost far more and take up to 3 full 8 hour days to complete. This course is designed for the average gun owner or LEO type to be able to learn how his weapon system really works, how to take it all apart, change parts as needed and properly reassemble it. It is a fun and enjoyable way to spend a gun related afternoon. Enrollment is very limited and these classes always fill fast.
The Glock class will run from 9am to 12 noon. The M16/AR15 class will run from 1pm to 5pm. Cost is $75 for each course, $25 discount for those taking both courses.
